About Rosie

This 4 year old Terrier mix weighs in at 36 pounds and is medium in size. She came into care when her owner passed away. Unfortunately, Rosie was found to be heartworm positive. She went through treatment and now has a clean bill of health! Rosie's personality is on the shy side. She has been around cats and other dogs and does well. Co-existing and maybe a short game of chase is more her speed rather than rough housing with other dogs. She is house trained and crate trained. Rosie has not had much experience with children. We believe older, calmer children would be ideal. Rosie enjoys walks and has been very tolerant of handling with grooming and vet care. Rosie likes to sleep under her humans bed at night and will only sometimes get on the couch. She has no issues with food aggression or anxiety. She is trustworthy to be left out with no issue when owner is away. Rosie gets very shy when the camera comes out and looks concerned in her pictures. Rosie is a dog that will need very occasional grooming. She is wire haired and seems to be a low shedder. She was recently groomed at The Rescue Retreat by Dawn who graciously donated her services to help Rosie look pretty for her new owners. Rosie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on preventatives.
