Lola and Louie (14 months) are bonded bundles of fun who love to cuddle and be hugged. Eager to please, these affectionate little lap dogs are also great with other dogs and cats. Lola loves to sit on the front porch and watch the world (aka squirrels) go by with Louie by her side. Louie likes a good squeaky toy with Lola by his side. They are good watch dogs but only bark when someone comes up on the porch. They play with each other in short bursts throughout the day, but mostly they want to lay at someone's feet while they work, snuggle up on the couch or occupy themselves with a pizzle stick. They do not need a yard to be happy, and are crate trained but prefer sharing the bed at night and are not destructive when left alone--they understand the difference between toys and shoes. They were paper trained so we are working on getting them to signal when they need to go outside instead (but there is a plus to being paper trained!) Despite being bounced around a bit, Lola is very well-adjusted, confident and sweet. Louie is generally confident but he still whimpers and barks for a little bit when humans leave but he is getting better as he feels more secure. Because they are very bonded, we are looking for a home committed to keeping them together. They were transported from Iran and both are fixed with shots and heartworm negative. Their adoption fee is $1200 (total for both). They maybe be purebred but we do not know as they were rescues.
