Athena has had a hard journey as she came to DAS as a surrender at just under a year old. She had worms, and a back leg injury due to growing too fast and poor nutrition. She found herself on the euth list with no rescues able to step up to cover her leg surgery needed. She has since received the surgery needed and is healing great. She just recovered from two more worms and is underweight. Regardless of her health she has been a spunky and energetic loving girl this whole time. While she may take some time to warm up and trust people, she quickly learns that she can trust you and will be your best friend. -1 year 3 months -fixed, chipped, vaccinated -crate trained -mostly potty trained -walks great on a leash -dog and kid friendly -vocal but not aggressive -loves to play with toys and friends -active girl that's eager to please and very smart -slow intros due dogs and humans *Fun webbed feet* I think she could be a swimmer Unfortunately, I was only able to temporarily foster her to get her off the euth list and get her healed. I have to move out of state next month and need to find her a home. Her ideal home is active and able to keep up with her working breed that's in there! She would do great learning from another dog friend. She may show some resource guarding with food to other dogs as she has always been starving. Please reach out for any questions!
