My wife and I are looking to rehome our mastiff. We unfortunately need to re-home our mastiff that we adopted last year. He came from a farm in New London, he was neglected and severely malnourished and had worms with a bunch of other problems. When we got him he was 140lbs now he is a healthy 180lbs. He had behavior problems like territorial with food, water, and toys. He wouldn't let us bath or brush him, he didn't listen, he would constantly try to hump one of our other dogs and he use to chew up our window trim. But we have worked very hard to train him and he is a lot better than when we first adopted him. He is still a little territorial with food and toys but nowhere near what he use to be. He has never harmed a human or any of our other dogs. But he can be a little unpredictable like the vet tech said at our last visit. He is a very good dog at the doctors visit except for this last time he just kept barking and jumping at the vet tech but it might just be because of my pregnant wife and thats why we're looking to re-home him with our now new born baby. But we've gotten him to stop chewing window trim and humping. He lets us bath and brush him now. He is crate and potty trained. He definitely appears to be learning and a trainable dog as he's made progress with us. He is currently 2 years old. He just needs more time and training which we cant give him with our jobs and our baby. But he is a sweet and loving boy and deserves a good home. We did fix him and he's up to date with his shots. He's also on simperico trio. We just want to make sure he goes to or is going to go to a good loving home. We just think it would be best for him and our family that he just finds the home that will have the time to give him everything he needs and deserves.
