About Knox

Knox is a Old Time Scotch Collie. Beautiful 3 year old boy that loves all people. Unfortunately he has developed allergies to bugs and grass and I feel he needs to be an inside dog. He is available for adoption to an inside home only. There are several factors that prevent me from bringing him inside here, if it were not for these I would not hesitate to bring him inside and he would not be looking for a new home. About Knox: -resource guarding, not with people but with other dogs -he typically gets along well with other dogs (some male dogs may be exceptions) as long as properly introduced. -he's been around all types of livestock and is safe with them. He's a great farm protector. Will alert to predators, including aerial predators -fine with cats (aside from feeding time) -I started him on scent training when he was around 8/9 months old. I have not followed through and finished up his training but he excelled at it when we were consistently training. -knows basic obedience commands -He is not neutered yet, this will be a condition of adoption. -he has herding potential if someone took the time to train. His only issue with this I have found so far is he will not turn back a sheep that challenges him. -he is crate trained -he rides well in vehicles Please pm for more info or any questions you may have.
