Meet Nova, a 3 year old supposed blue heeler and German Shepard mix (we think she is a blue heeler and kelpie), born on June 19, 2021. Nova was just recently spayed on April 1st, 2025. She's an intelligent and loyal gal who loves to play but also loves to cuddles. Nova would thrive in a home as an only dog, as that is what she has been used to all her life (until two months ago). She's been working on her leash skills and has improved tremendously, and with more work she'll keep improving. Also, she has been working on staying calm when seeing other dogs. Nova will need more training in order to safely play with other dogs. At night time or when she's relaxing she loves to suckle on toys to self soothe. Nova loves all toys, and enjoys pulling toys out of other toys. She can be possessive over bones, so we stick to treats like kongs or lick mats that eventually end. On walks or in yards Nova loves to roll (or 'swim') on the grass. Nova is comfortable with agility jumps, tunnels, and would love to more. She is an active gal who needs enrichment and time to get her energy out, when she is tired she is an absolute cuddle bug. The adoption fee would cover her spay that she just recently had, but she has specific things that are her that her new owner will receive. Such as her kennel, bed, toys, harness, leash, and her gentle leader.
