Urgent Update: Brutus is now scheduled to be euthanized on 6/25!! EAST VALLEY has a Mastiff In Need of Immediate Adoption!! On Urgent alert list, 'Brutus' #A2202229!!! Poor Brutus is exhibiting high levels of FAS (fear, anxiety stress) in the shelter environment & needs out ASAP!!! He is 4 years old, 118 lbs, Male. Came to the shelter as a stray on 06/07/25. Animals in our care are struggling and are being placed on urgent alert because they need more out-of-kennel enrichment and socialization with people and other pets. These pets are available for adoption and foster through LAAS, but they are decompensating emotionally and physically. Long-term sheltering is not an option for these pets without significant improvement in their emotional and physical well-being. Please consider taking these pets ASAP. Pets who continue to decompensate or significantly worsen may be placed on the euthanasia alert.
