About Bleu

Meet Bleu This adorable little puppy is named Bleu. We're not sure of his past, but his future is looking bright. We think Bleu is a six-month-old Catahoula/beagle mix. Bleu is absolutely gorgeous with a soft white coat, the most amazing blue eyes that connect to your heart and the softest and cutest of ears. He knows how to work those ears lol! He's smaller in person than his pictures may indicate, but he is big on sweetness. Bleu is an outgoing young pup. He is very gentle, but he does have some good puppy energy. Bleu loves people and he loves other dogs. He greets the other pups in the yard with wiggles and happy tails. Bleu is friendly and confident. He loves to play and would do well with an active family or with an active person. He'd do great with kids who can keep him busy and run around with him. He loves being with people and is good with cats. If you're looking for a family companion who grows with the kids, or you're a hiker or runner looking for a buddy, Bleu may be your boy. Bleu is learning to walk on a leash. He's pretty good already but he still likes to jump a bit. Bleu is smart and a pleaser and with consistency and patience, Bleu will learn what is expected of him. We have not yet tested Bleu with kitties but will do so for potential adopters. Bleu is amazing and such a gem. He is safe with us until we find him his forever family. For one so young, we hope that happens soon. He is such a happy guy and who will add so much fun, adventure and love to your heart and home. We love this boy to pieces. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
