[Read About Natural Seizure Care] Benny is 8-years-old and was adopted from SAFE rescue in St. Augustine, FL in October 2017 (at an estimated 6-months-old). He is approximately 10 lbs., potty trained, very sweet, cuddly, and playful. In early 2021, Benny had a successful cataract removal surgery in Asheville, NC which enabled him to see; he needs eye drops once a day. In August 2022, he began to have seizures caused by Meningoencephalitis of Unknown Etiology (MUE), treatable with daily medications he's taken since the diagnosis and has thrived. Benny has storm phobia as he was originally rescued from a field in NE Florida immediately after a hurricane; he is comforted by a thunder shirt, snuggles with his human(s) in quiet and cozy spaces, and being close to Lucy*. *Benny and Lucy are a bonded set of Chihuahua-mix rescues who currently live in the Jacksonville, Florida area. We need to find them a home together where they will be loved and adored as they have been for years. They are such joys and incredibly sweet together. Benny and Lucy would do best in a home with a family that's home most of the time, and without big dogs or small children. They are both up-to-date on their vaccinations, maintain a monthly regimen of Bravecto and Interceptor, and have had routine teeth cleanings. (BENNY ON LEFT IN PHOTO, LUCY ON RIGHT)
