Gypsy is a 6 year old German Shepard Siberian Husky Mix. Her father was purebred long hair German Shepard and her mom was a purebred Siberain Husky. Gypsy was born on April 20th 2019 in Oregon. I have raised her since she was a puppy and my husband/family have been the only humans she has lived with. The choice to rehome her is not an easy one. She is a great dog, very loyal and obedient. She is food aggressive and does not like to share. Though we have a cat and have had another dog living with her before which she was opk with, she would thrive in a home with females only and as an only animal. She is uncomfortable around new men but will adjust once her trust has been earned. The reason we are rehoming her is because of her food aggression. I have 3 small children and she chooses to stay with her food and water bowls almost 'guarding' them so the children and cat don't get to it (even when they are empty). We have tried many tactics to break her of this aggression but have been unsuccessful. She does come with a rehoming fee but this is purely to ensure she goes to the right home. She requires a lot of care and money (grooming 3x/year + regular doctor visits) and therefore requires someone who can afford her. The fee will be 100% donated to a good cause.
