About Bear and Moose

Adoption Fee: $100
Wirehaired Pointing Griffon
Age: Senior
Sex: Male

This is Bear and Moose, both are wirehaired pointing Griffons, they are full breeds, but not registered. They are bonded brothers from the same litter and are 10 years old. They are looking for a new home. I have had them both since they were puppies, but I have been relocated from Klamath Falls to McMinnville. They have always been in the country with lots of room to run and play, and unfortunately I am now in a city. I could keep Moose, however Bear would be very sad without him. Bear is a jumper'|clearing every fence that I have had. He does not like to leave his brother though, so he usually does not go far. My fear is that Bear would jump the fence in my new home, as I live near a very busy road and he would get hit. Moose is the calmer of the two and is less 'fuzzy'. He loves to cuddle and be close to his people. He is friendly and is easy to have around. He also is a very good pheasant hunter'|and has been quite successful. He still has a lot of energy with no health problems. Bear is more on the nervous side, once he is calm-he too likes a lot of pets and cuddles. He has the longer hair and looks like a typical WPG. He looks to Moose a lot for reassurance. He needs someone that is patient with him and is calm. He does not like to be yelled at'|he will run. He does not like to hunt, as he is afraid of guns. He too has a lot of energy and is healthy. Bear will kill cats and chickens if given the opportunity. They both are very nice dogs and have never bitten anyone. My grandchildren have been around them and they are calm and gentle with the kids. I am incredibly sad about having to rehome them. They have been well loved.
