Since then, he's been quietly waiting for someone to see the sweet, loving soul behind his shy eyes. The shelter is loud and overwhelming, and for a sensitive dog like Rex, it's been incredibly scary. But once he's outside of his kennel and given just a few moments to decompress, a whole new side of him begins to shine. He is a gentle, affectionate love bug who just wants to feel safe, secure, and loved. Despite his size, Rex is convinced he's a lap dog-leaning into affection and soaking up every bit of love he can get. He's been a joy to work with, and it's clear that all he really needs is a patient, kind-hearted person to help him build confidence and show him the world isn't such a scary place.
