About Lucy

Lucy is the mother of the 12 puppies we are currently looking to rehome. She was a stray we found back in March, and to our surprise, she was pregnant. We had originally secured a home for her, but once her pregnancy became known, the family backed out. We couldn't bear the thought of sending her to a shelter to give birth, so we decided to care for her and her puppies ourselves until they're all ready for forever homes. When the puppies were just two weeks old, Lucy developed mastitis and was no longer able to nurse them. We stepped in to bottle-feed them around the clock, but Lucy remained an attentive and nurturing mom-still helping us clean and care for them every day. Lucy is an incredibly sweet and gentle dog who loves everyone she meets. She's great with people of all ages and has been calm and affectionate through everything she's been through. She deserves a loving, stable home where she can be pampered and finally get the rest she's earned. We're hoping to find her a family that will love her as much as she's loved these puppies.
