About Stella

Stella's life has not been an easy one. From what we know|Stella was taken in by a kind hearted elderly man who had a heart for all the strays in his area. She lived outdoors, received no vetting, but was cared for to the best of his ability. As a result, Stella is a very independent girl but also a very sweet girl once she realizes she can trust. Stella had several litters while living this life and she came to us very pregnant when the elderly man went into hospice care. Stella was very scared initially but quickly learned she could trust and now she loves me! She has learned to allow handling and also gives sweet kisses. I don't think she was ever picked up and held before coming into rescue. Stella was a great mom and all her pups were quickly adopted. Stella would like her chance for a loving home where she can truly blossom. If you are willing to give Stella the time she needs to adjust and learn to trust, she will be a great companion and friend as a result! Stella we think is around 4 years old and around 12#! She is really a great girl who would prefer a fenced in yard and no small children.
