Adopted in May of 2024, returned in June of 2025. And though he has been super sweet, wiggly and friendly with staff, we can only imagine how sad and confused GHOST must be. He was only 7 months old when he was adopted and thought he had found his forever family only to have the landlord say 'no pets,' Now Ghost feels bounced around all over the place and a year older. We feel so badly for him, stuck in the smallest of kennels and filled with puppy energy that he can't run off because he gets only a short bit of time out of that kennel each day. He lived happily with 3 kids and was friendly, outgoing and playful with them and familiar dogs. Affectionate and very sweet, he's a high energy puppy who just wanted to be loved. Ghost loves bath time, he knows the command 'sit' and he is hoping he will find a new and committed family who will love him forever and give him the life filled with joy and happiness he deserves. If you are an experienced foster or adopter, please help this boy out. Ghost is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns. Ghost has not been acclimating well to the shelter environment despite best efforts to keep him comfortable. In the care center has began to leash bite incessantly inside of his kennel and out on walks, and can not be refocused when he begins doing so making it difficult to walk him safely. Medically, Ghost is apparently healthy. Ghost was brought to the care center by his previous owner because the housing management no longer permitted pets in their home. In the prior home Ghost is noted in the prior home to be social/affectionate, very active and playful and can be lazy/couch potato. He likes to be where people are, in the bedroom and the living room. He loves bath time, allows family to bathe and brush him. In his previous home, Ghost was reported to leash bite and display on-leash reactivity toward other dogs. This behavior has continued in the care center, where he has been observed biting the leash and thrashing while on lead. Ghost is available for rescue through one of our new hope partners. Ghost is an large mixed breed, neutered male dog who has been with the current owner for the past year and it is unknow when he has last been to the vet. He's lived with a 8,14 and 15y/o and is tolerant, playful, friendly and outgoing. With familiar dogs he is tolerant, playful, friendly and outgoing, with unfamiliar dogs he will hard bark/growl, lunge and snap at them. Ghost lived with a cat and will hard bark/growl, lunge and snap at them. He will growl if his toys are touched. He has never bitten anyone. Ghost is partially housetrained.
