A VOLUNTEER WRITES: 'Imagine this marvelous little girl wandering into your home one day. That's how Marvelous was found, and now nearly 2 months later she's still waiting for a home. She fools me by waiting curled up in the back of her kennel when I go to leash her for a walk. She looks timid and unsure about me, which is common and understandable in your first days in the shelter. She comes forward, and within minutes she's in the yard wiggling the biggest wiggles I have seen in a while. Her hind end might just fly off her body! She moves between us with the happiest tail and a toy in her mouth. Marvelous is just a year old, and 2 months is a long time for life in a kennel at any age, let alone that young age. It's wearing on her, as anyone may expect, and she is looking for a home where she can decompress. Given some mouthy and jumpy behaviors, young kids are not recommended for her right now. Marvelous' ID is #224097 and she is at Queens ACC.' THE VOLUNTEERS MADE HER THE MOST ADORABLE REEL! https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1A8osR7V7v/ MARVELOUS is a beautiful, little girl, maybe just a puppy of 9 months old according to medical staff. She was attention seeking at intake, but after being found alone in an apartment, she's a bit wary and doesn't yet know whom she can trust. Sensitive and shy, at least at the shelter, help her open up and rebuild her confidence. A slow approach is best as she acclimates to her new life with you. Help Marvelous show you the playful, sweet little lovebug she already is as she feels safe with you and begins to build her confidence. She will do best starting out. In a calm home where children are ages 13 and up. What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children. I would do best in a home with only adult humans. I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets. I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you. When off leash at the Care Center Marvelous is introduced to a greeter male dog. At the gate Marvelous approaches with a neutral frame. Both dogs scent one another through the gate. Marvelous will begin stress barking with his paw raised and a tucked tail. Marvelous will continue to bark as he continues to become aroused, displaying dilated eyes. Both dogs are separated, thus ending the interaction.
