RAYNE is a 1.5 year old, 9.8 pound fun-sized firecracker Chorkie full of playful energy and love! RAYNE is super friendly, spirited, and loves to play, play, play! She's not shy about barking at you or your dog if she wants attention, a toy, or a good old-fashioned tug-of-war match. Her ideal home will have a playful young dog friend who can help wear her out. She'll lovingly pester even the grumpiest dogs with her bouncy energy, and while she takes corrections well, she's right back at it a few minutes later (she's got a short memory when it comes to being told off!). RAYNE adores bones, squeaky toys (especially destroying them), and will engage in tug of war with any willing human or pup. She's also a climber, jumper, and snuggler. She will happily hop up on the couch for a cuddle and loves climbing on you to give you lots of face kisses. RAYNE can be mouthy when excited or jumping around you like she does with dogs, so redirection and supervision are helpful. If given an opportunity, she will chew things that aren't toys (books, dining chairs, you name it), so we recommend a secure 'safe space' when she's left alone. RAYNE is okay on walks, though loud streets or busy areas can make her nervous. We would prefer a home with a fenced yard although she may be fine without one under the right conditions. She is doing well with her potty training, but has an occasional accident if she's not let out in time. A consistent routine and supervision will keep her on track. She's probably not ideal for apartment living due to her love of barking and big energy. At night RAYNE will sleep in the bed with her person, although sometimes she will opt for the floor if she gets too warm. RAYNE has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida.
