Before arriving at the shelter, Abby lived with an owner who simply didn't care for her. She was left alone for weeks at a time while her owner traveled, relying on kind neighbors to feed her and keep her safe. Abby wandered the streets, visiting homes in search of food and companionship. Eventually, the neighbors-heartbroken for her-called Animal Control. Instead of doing the right thing, her owner surrendered her to the shelter to avoid taking responsibility. But despite it all, Abby's spirit remains strong. She loves kids and has so much fun playing with her dog friends. She can be a little quirky about sharing toys, but generally gets along great with other dogs. She'll get her zoomies out and then relax in the shade, happy to just be near you. Abby is looking for a foster or adopter to help her make the trip from Georgia to Wisconsin on 6/21 with Mutt Life Dog Rescue.
