About Scout

Scout is an enthusiastic and affectionate, 9-year-old Springer Spaniel - Poodle mix that I need to rehome. While I am in good health for a 76-year-old, I do not have the strength or balance that I once had. Also, and just as importantly, my schedule does not allow me to give Scout the attention he deserves. Scout is a people lover liking both adults and children, but is initially shy when he meets someone for the first time. He has lots of energy and loves to run, take walks, and play fetch with tennis balls. He likes to snuggle and to be petted. Scout has been trained and his responsive to commands and treats. His enthusiasm, however, overrides his manners when sees people friends and he will try to rush towards them unless he is restrained. Scout is particularly fond of women and has several girlfriends in the neighborhood. Scout is anxious, but his anxiety is reduced by Prozac. He is sensitive to loud noises and is a barker.
