About Kitana

Kitana is a shepherd/corso and possibly food aggressive with dogs but is fine with treats if monitored. She growls and barks when dogs come near while she's eating. Does have fence aggression, she picked that up being boarded. I am going out of town on Wednesday and most shelters are full so if I cannot rehome her, she will have to go to a shelter that will most likely euthanize her. I've had her for two years but I was unemployed and now I can no longer afford to care for her. She has never bitten anyone or been in a dog fight. Grew up round dogs and elderly dog but has had a lack of socializing the past year and has become reactive on leash. I know she can be a great dog to someone with a yard, space, time, and healthy stable finances. Extremely food motivated, loyal, protective, and loving. I hate that I have to rehome her and I'd love to stay in contact to see her when I can. She knows down, sit, stay, wait, and heel. She's crated at night and when unsupervised. She's mostly potty trained but will sniff around and hide if she has to potty. She loves toys but will destroy the stuffed ones. She does eat poop and stuffing. Heavy chewer nd heavy drinker. She loves toys play and enjoys fetch. Loves cr rides and sticking her head out the window. She walks on a gentle lead. She does need training on the reactivity and impulse control. Kitana was a rough player in play groups but respected the dogs that didn't want to play. I just want her to go to a good loving and caring home.
