Scotcharoo is a one-year-old Jack Russell Terrier with a heart full of joy and springs in his step! This short-legged cutie greets everyone he meets-humans and dogs alike-with enthusiastic bounces and a whole lot of tail wagging. His motto is: why walk when you can leap for joy? This friendly little guy is still mastering the art of polite hellos. His exuberance is all love, but he's working on keeping all four paws on the ground during greetings. He just can't help but get excited-after all, every person he meets is his new best friend! Scotcharoo sees 'personal space' as a theoretical concept. Kick back in your recliner and he'll hop onto your chest, squeaky toy in tow, convinced that gnawing atop your ribcage is the coziest spot on earth. Try to read a book? He'll perch on your shoulder and deliver face-licks until you fold the page corner and give him your full attention. But don't let the antics fool you-this boy is smart as a whip (with just a dash of attention-deficit sparkle). He's potty-perfect, happily kennels when you leave, and sleeps soundly in his crate at night in his foster mom's bedroom. Treats turn 'Sit' into second nature, and with consistency he'll expand that repertoire in no time. Life at his foster home-affectionately dubbed 'The Terrier Hotel'-means Scotcharoo is soaking up manners from several seasoned terrier roommates. He'd thrive with another playful young adult dog who can keep up with his zoomies and model good behavior. A securely fenced yard is a must; trust us, you'll want the space to refine your multitasking talents of lawn-mowing while toy-tossing. Scotcharoo comes fully prepped for adventure: neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccines. All he's missing is a human (or three) who'll laugh at his hijinks, stock every room with tossables, and embrace the art of foot-tug tug-of-war during Zoom calls. Ready for a sweet, sticky, and downright yummy terrier treat?
