Roscoe is hoping to catch a ride from Georgia to Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on 6/21, but he can't make the trip without a committed foster or adopter waiting for him up north! Meet Roscoe ? He's social, affectionate, and clearly used to being someone's best friend. Sadly, life took a turn, and now he finds himself in a shelter, waiting for a second chance. Roscoe is an absolute gentleman. He keeps his kennel clean, never tears up his bedding, and lights up with joy when someone comes by to say hello. He walks calmly on a leash and adores the one-on-one time with volunteers. He's not big on toys, but he's definitely big on cuddles. He's happy to wander the yard, soak up the sun, and get belly rubs-bonus points if you catch his signature 'rollover shuffle' on the Astroturf! Roscoe prefers the company of female dogs and hasn't enjoyed interactions with male dogs. He'd do great in a calm, loving home where he can enjoy walks, couch time, and some well-earned peace. Roscoe is ready for his fresh start-but he needs someone to step up so he can make the trip! Apply: Fill out an adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.) Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. ?3.) Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old. **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
