About Blacky

Blacky was a neighbor's pup who often wandered the streets, sneaking under our fence to play with our young and senior dogs. As winter came, we'd leave a warm spot outside or bring him in, depending on the weather. One especially cold night, we let him stay and decided to 'adopt' him, knowing he was being neglected. A few days later, he vanished. We searched everywhere, but he was gone. Seven months later, he came back to our gate-skittish but home. Since then, he's been with us. He and our younger dog had a few issues, so we keep them apart, though they do hang out sometimes. He loves the outdoors, tug of war, fetch, and cuddles. He's gentle with our 3-year-old, good with cats, and never leaves the yard, even if the gate is open. We love him, and we hope to find a home that will love him just as much. He's housebroken, eager to please, and would thrive with someone who has time for play, snuggles, and helping him continue to feel safe and loved.
