About Lucy

This is Lucy! She is an 8.5yr old, spayed, female, Pointer/Staffy mix. Lucy girl was owner surrendered to the shelter due to her owners health. Lucy was used as a therapy dog; we definitely understand why! Lucy is a cuddle bug. She is so special! She is so resilient. With so much loss, confusion and change that has happened in her life, she is still as loving and nurturing as the day I met her months ago! She has always been a 'rather not' type of girl. She didn't mind if dogs were around but she would rather not interact with them. She was attacked by a dog recently and now she is very hesitant and afraid of other dogs. It will take a little bit; she is fine with them if they aren't interested in her. If other dogs are very interested in her, she gets insecure and tries to retreat. We are praying for a miracle for this sweetie pie cuddle bug! All she needs is to be the light of someone's life because that is what she deserves! You don't come across a dog that has been through as much as she has been through and STILL be as loving and as affectionate as Lucy is! PLEASE give her a chance!
