Estimated to be around 3 years old, Monkey has a soft, sensitive soul and is adjusting as best he can to life in the shelter. Understandably, he can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with patience and a gentle approach, he begins to open up and show just how affectionate he truly is. Once he feels safe and connected, Monkey forms strong bonds and becomes a loyal, trustworthy companion who just wants to be near his person. Monkey loves being outdoors, where he can relax and soak up the sunshine, it's one of his favorite ways to decompress. He's not a high-energy pup, but he does enjoy calm walks, quiet time in the yard, and would thrive in a peaceful home where he can continue to build confidence at his own pace. His ideal adopter is someone who understands the needs of a more sensitive dog and is willing to give him the time and space to blossom.
