About Shelby

Loving Home Wanted for Shelby- Sweet, 6-Month Old Wheaten Terrier. This is a very hard post to write, so please read with care and kindness. Shelby is a beautiful, purebred 6-month-old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier (papered, up to date on all vaccinations, currently intact) who needs a new home where she can thrive. She is incredible affectionate, social and loyal- she loves people, other dogs and being near her family. She's got a gentle spirit, loves to cuddle, and is happiest when included in your day. We are not rehoming her because of anything wrong with her-we're doing it because we deeply love her and want her to have the life and attention she deserves. With a toddler at home, eldercare responsibilities, and limited time and energy, we simply cannot give her the consistency and attention she needs right now during this crucial phase of her life. She chases cats, so no feline roommates please. We're looking for a home that understands the patience and time commitment of a young terrier. Experience with the breed is a huge plus, as Wheatens are smart, energetic, and benefit from structure and positive training. She would do great with an active person, couple, or family who has the capacity to work with her, give her love, and help her continue growing in the wonderful dog she is. This is not an 'any home will do' situation. We are looking for the right home, and we're wiling to be patient to find it. We will ask questions and expect the same from you.
