About KOBI

His owners went on about what a wonderful dog KOBI is, so affectionate, great with adults, strangers, kids, other dogs and even cats. They spoke of his sterling set of skills, the many commands he knows, how he never guards his stuff, that he's house and crate trained and loves to go for walks and trekking. They even said that their favorite thing about him is that 'He is a great emotional support and will try to ensure everyone in his home is happy.' �%9D%A4 Well it seems it was not a two way street when they decided to move and leave this incredible dog behind to face his fate in a scary shelter inside a kennel so small he can barely turn around. No one to comfort him. No one familiar or safe. Nope. People really suck. Understandably, Kobi is struggling. He tries so hard and he's highly social, wiggly and sweet with the staff and volunteers, taking treats gently, leaning in for pets, rolling for belly rubs. He completely charmed the intake staff and the medical staff and gathered all their hearts at his paws. And he was pretty ok with his dog meet and greet too. So to see him on the list is both heartbreaking and completely frustrating. Leash biting is born of stress and anxiety, and if Kobi were back in a home environment and was given ample time to decompress, this behavior would dissipate in a week or two, especially if he is getting lots of exercise that he loves.
