About ROLLIE

Mastiff
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

This big, beautiful boy with the sad, lonely face is ROLLIE. He was given up by his family because of behavior -- behavior born fear and lack of confidence, and something that an experienced large dog owner is able to handle with patience, positive reinforcement training, constant repetition, and an understanding that when a dog is feeling unable to handle social situations, they look to their owner for guidance, stability and structure. Poor Rollie is struggling to overcome his feelings of loss and abandonment, not by just one family, but also by his adopter of exactly a day. Understandably, being bounced around from home to shelter to a home back to the shelter is challenging for any dog, but especially challenging for Rollie who is a sensitie soul. Rollie needs an experienced family and a home where he can feel at peace. He has done well with some handlers at the shelter who took that time to go slow with him and let him warm at his own pace and approach them in his own time. He leans in for pets, and enjoys the human contact and comfort. Please share Rollie for the experienced family he never had. ROLLIE, ID# 225463, @ 3 Yrs.
