About Sammy

(DOB 03/18/2023) Sammy is heartworm positive but don't let that stop you from adopting him; our rescue will pay for and provide medical treatment. He will also be neutered and will be local adoption (1 hour radius from Wake Forest, NC) during this period. If you're looking for a happy hound who greets you with a tail-wagging grin every time, Sammy's your guy! This sweet and spirited pup is full of love and ready to share it with everyone he meets; he truly doesn't know a stranger. He is good with kids so extra bonus there. If pretty easy-going is your kind of lifestyle, Sammy should fit right in. He is the perfect blend of fun and chill. He enjoys going for walks, exploring new smells, and hopping in the car for a ride. At home, he's just as content hanging out with his foster family or relaxing on his own. A home without cats, small animals, or livestock because Sammy is way too interested in chasing them. This dude is good on a leash, house trained, crate trained and all around good ole boy! He is content to sleep in his crate or on his doggie bed. He would love a fenced yard to hang out in and goof off a bit but would be ok without a fenced in yard as long as his family took him on several walks each day. So, he could be a good pup for an apartment, condo or townhome. He is, in fact, a bit of couch potato after his walks. Ready for adventures, snuggles, and a whole lot of tail wags? Sammy is too! But when it comes to humans, he's all heart. Sammy is working on his commands and eager to learn-he just needs someone patient and loving to keep guiding him. As part of Sammy's $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
