Foster Update- We're having great fun fostering Carrie. She was a bit timid initially but after acclimating to our home, she is having a wonderful time. For activities, Carrie enjoys selecting toys from the toy box, chasing after our dogs (a young Golden Retriever mix and older smaller dog), bounding through the grove and saying hi to the horses. When she is tuckered out, she likes sleeping near our dogs or under a human's chair. Water is fun so be prepared for splashes on your floor from the water bowl! Carrie is fine with our horses and kitties. She is also an excellent gardening assistant and car companion. We took her on her first leash walk today and she did fantastic. She saw a lake with geese, kids on bikes, and many dogs. In her forever home, Carrie would like other playful dogs, humans around most of the time and going on adventures. An adopter who doesn't mind a furry friend bed buddy at night is a plus plus! It's official! Carrie is a water puppy. We went to a park with a stream and she ran back and forth, leaping in the air with delight! Carrie, a precious Labradoodle, is lively, sweet and as smart as a whip. When I let the puppies outside, several times a day, she is the first one to run and go potty. She is catching on that when she sits, I pick her up (I train my puppies to do this so they don't jump up.) She sleeps through the night. Carrie stands up for herself when her littermate June gets a little too pushy.
