About Loretta

Hello! I have a female Basset hound named Loretta. We rehomed her for a very close family friend recently & during her time with us so far, myself & my two youngest children have been experiencing major issues with our allergies due to her shedding. As we have tried to brush her continuously to minimize the shedding, we are still running into daily troubles with our allergies & are unable to be around her for various time frames & are unable to play with & love on her like we have before. We are also starting to face issues with the two other small dogs that reside here, as the one doesn't seem to like her and has attacked her twice already. When we took in Loretta, we were informed that she hadn't had any vaccinations since she was a puppy (she is estimated to be close to 2 years of age), she hasn't been to the vet of our knowledge (we were working on scheduling her a visit asap) & she isn't spayed (she's apparently only ever had one cycle). Loretta is a very well behaved dog! She can be very stubborn at times when it comes to listening. She is crate trained for short periods of time during the day & at bedtime. She does well with being in her crate but she will whine for a short period of time. She is mostly potty trained and will stand by the door whenever she has to use the bathroom. Given that we've had her for a short time, she has had a few minor accidents inside due to the new environment but it isn't persistent. We have currently been working on teaching her how to sit & also not to jump up on people or jump up at the dinner table. A lot of the information I can/will provide will come mostly from what the previous owners told us & what we've experienced with her over the last almost 2 weeks. I am asking for a small rehoming fee due to the things we've purchased for her & had to use to get her to reach her full potential. She will come with her crate, her dog bed, nail trimmers, a clicker for training, flea & tick treatment, her dog bowls, her double sided brush/comb & her waterless bath spray!
