About Marvin Otis

Marvin Otis is a 2 year old chihuahua mix whom we are needing to rehome. He doesn't seem to like strangers in our home and with how life goes we have had to move in a family member due to an emergency. He is not taking to that very well and is going to knock them down. I need to unfortunately rehome him to a serious inquiry. He seems to be aggressive towards strangers. Not sure what he would do because we have always removed him from the situation. I am looking for someone whom has dealt with a dog who needs special attention. He was socialized as a puppy, raised with 3 other dogs and 1 cat. He has never showed aggression towards them. We have 2 adult children so unsure as to small kids but I would say no because he has so much work to do to be able to be around people again and I don't have the time to do that so it's not fair to Marvin for him to have to live unsocialized when that is the behavior he needs to learn the most. So if you think that you can give Marvin a second chance at learning how to be a dog and around people please contact me. Also to be fair he also has a rare disease called ear margin vasculitis. All that entails is that if he doesn't get the medication that I have for him he gets bald spots on his head and the ear tips kind of split off. I have medication for him it will last several several months and that will definitely go with him as well as at least 6 months of heartworm and flea and tick prevention to go with him. He has a microchip and is up to date on dhpp, Bordetella, lyme, leptospirosis, and rabies. He is a neutered male solid black with the little white on his chest. He has a little brown on his legs. His mother was a blonde Chihuahua and his father was a black and tan long-haired dachshund. So please help if you think you can be Marvin's next pack leader please reach out because I need him to find a new home soon so that my family member isn't knocked down and hurt even worse because of her instability.
