At no fault of his own I am rehoming my almost 1-year-old intact chocolate labrador retriever. He weighs approx 55lbs but still has filling out to do! He's kennel trained and does well in it. He still needs supervised because In true lab fashion and being a youngster he likes to put everything in his mouth to try and eat! He's lived and played well with multiple other dogs since he was a puppy. That being said I prefer for him to go to someone who also has a young dog to match his energy. He has never shown a mean bone in his body but I don't have kids or other animals so I can't attest to how he would do around them. He had his parvo/distemper series of vaccines as a puppy and his rabies is good until November of this year. He's not had any health issues; the only thing I do for him is clean out his ears weekly with an OTC solution because they get waxy and he'll itch them. As tough as it was to come to terms on this decision I know he will make a great addition to his new forever home.
