Kona is a 6 year old purebred Siberian Husky. She has been getting progressively more short tempered with my one year old and has been displaying lots of jealous behaviors that have not resolved with any attempted mediation. She has not yet been aggressive with my daughter but I'm extremely vigilant with their interactions and I want to head off any incidents by finding her a new home that can love her and give her what she needs. I can't afford to get her properly trained as we are a military family and I'm currently a stay at home mom. Kona can be the sweetest girl when loved and gives the best cuddles but she gives only child vibes HARD! Her ideal family would be an active person/s where she is the only pet and that has no children. As per her breed, her prey drive is very strong so she does not do well with other small animals including small dogs, cats or farm animals in or around the home. I've been struggling with her headstrong personality for the last four years and I've tried absolutely everything I can think of that I can afford to do to fix the issues but at the end of the day I don't think her and I are compatible any longer. This has been a really tough decision for me to make since I've had her since puppyhood but she deserves a person who can be what she needs and this era of my life I have to put my child's safety first. Again, she has not yet been aggressive with my daughter, she has nudged her down trying to separate me from my daughter and she has growled. My anxiety is just much too high after having the baby that I am trying to be proactive and find Kona a better place where she won't have to be kenneled all day.
