About Lady

My name is Ella, and I'm reaching out with a very heartfelt request. I'm in a difficult situation and urgently seeking help to rehome a deeply loved dog named Lady - a sweet, soulful, and healthy Lab/Great Dane mix, around 10-11 years old, who still has so much life, love, and adventure in her. We adopted Lady from Heart of the Valley about 18 months ago. At the time, she had just lost her previous owner who had passed away, and she was grieving - withdrawn and depressed. It took nearly six months for her to fully come out of her shell, but once she did, she revealed herself to be one of the kindest, most gentle dogs I've ever known. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected increase in rent and an urgent need to relocate, I've had to move into a more affordable living situation - one that doesn't allow dogs. It absolutely breaks my heart, but I am unable to keep her, and the last thing I want is for her to return to a shelter or pound. She deserves far more than a cold concrete kennel after everything she's been through. About Lady: Breed: Lab/Great Dane mix Age: Approximately 10-11 years Health: Excellent - up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, no digestive issues, and has always been fed clean, wholesome food Temperament: Gentle, calm, affectionate, and loyal Behavior: Great with other dogs and children (very patient and loving) Not tested with cats or livestock Quiet at home, not a barker Loves hikes, the dog park, and dipping in the river (more of a wader than a swimmer) Likes to dig little holes in the yard with a happy tail wag Barks at big trucks when riding in the car - her way of protecting us Lady would thrive with someone who enjoys nature, calm companionship, and light outdoor activities. She's a low-maintenance best friend and would make an ideal companion for someone looking for a gentle, playful soul in her golden years.
