Meet beautiful Junia (pronounce June-Ya) She is going to be 6 years old this September and she needs a farm to live the rest of her days out. Moving from larger acreage to small city lot forces re-homing. She has been at my farm guarding alpacas since a tiny pup and is an amazing protector, however she no longer likes to be fenced in. I re-homed the alpacas in February and she escapes from the paddock now daily, sometimes hourly. She wanders into the road and it is no longer safe for her here, she really needs a farm with sturdy fencing. She will dig under the fences, she is very good at escaping, so PLEASE do not adopt her if you cannot handle containing her safely and humanely (NO ELECTRIC FENCING) Great with my female pit-boxer cross but plays a bit rough with her; also would like to place her with a male of the same age that I 'inherited' from my neighbor. He is roughly the same age, possibly a year older, has been a companion for her for about 6 months. They get along well but Junia is dominant and has shown signs of food aggression with him. His name is Thorin and he is also posted here. They both are good with cats and are very good protectors of the property. These dogs are meant to be guarding and to be free; tying or chaining them would be abusive and unacceptable. Possible a Halo collar would work on them in a new environment, not sure. Do not want to separate the two but I will if absolutely necessary.
