About Jonah

Jonah is a calm, kind of shy, and loving dog and he bonds extremely well to whoever is taking care of him. Unfortunately, he is not great with anyone else, I rescued Jonah from a shelter 7 years ago, it seems likely he was abused by a man before i did as he seems to be more scared of men. Jonah is well trained, knows sit, down, place, and stay, and is potty trained. He is resource protective (food, bones/toys, and owner), he has a bitten people in the past but none for at least a couple years. Unfortunately, he is still reactive to others and we've had a few close calls. My wife is expecting children and even though I love Jonah with all my heart, I cannot take the risk of a bite. Jonah needs an experienced owner who has dealt with reactive/aggressive dogs before (ideally a chow chow owner). He will do great with a single owner, with no children, and/or other pets. Jonah is an amazing dog to whoever has the experience and patience to get him out of his shell.
