Indiana Jane (Indy) is a loyal and sweet girl who always wants to be by your side. She is a cuddle bug and believes she is a lap dog. She is smart & eager to please and has attended a board-and-train obedience school. She is an excellent passenger on car rides and her favorite activity is to play fetch. In the summer she loves to splash around in a kiddie pool. Indy is deaf - it doesn't really slow her down or cause significant problems. Indiana Jane is crate trained and house trained. She has never been around kids, so I'm not sure about how her herding instincts would show in that scenario. She has never nipped at me or any of my guests. She is shy at first with new faces but within about 2 minutes warms up to people and her tail starts wagging and she loves getting pets and playing with new friends. I think she would be best in a home where she is the only dog, however I think that she could also thrive in a household where the other dogs are her size or bigger and are passive (non-aggressive/not dominant). I want her to go to a home that will let her be an 'inside dog' and that has a fence to keep her safe. I have 2 other dogs in the house (1 larger and 1 smaller than her). She plays very well with both of them. She also has been to doggie daycare many times and has passed temperament testing and always gets good notes of her play in the group. She does not have any issue with going to the vet, getting groomed, or having her nails trimmed. All employees who work with her at these businesses rave about how sweet she is and how much they love her.
