Dexter needs a new home. He will be 5 years old in September. I've had him since he was 4-6 months old. He is the love of my life, but he got into it with my Cane Corso. He is normally very gentle, but since my Bull Mastiff passed away last fall there has been a struggle on who will be alpha. HE IS NOT AGRESSIVE TOWARD HUMANS!! He is a 95 pound couch potato that is very affectionate & will lean up against you for love. He isn't great on a leash as he has grown up on my farm. He chases the cat, but I don't know if he would hurt one since she's faster than him. He isn't bothered by my horses & LOVES to go for car rides (he knows how to unroll the window so window locks are a must). He is normally a very happy & gentle boy, but having to be separated from the other dogs & not allowed to roam around is depressing him. I had him boarded for 5 days after the incident through Rover & the woman adored him & didn't have any issues. She has written down her experience with him as a recommendation & I will share it with you if interested. Dexter does bark when someone comes over, but even the delivery drivers love him. He's likely to jump in their van just to go for a ride. He isn't playful as far as playing ball or playing with toys, but he loves a Nylabone or real bone. Dexter does have allergies & needs shots 1-2 times a year. Otherwise, he's in wonderful health. I would love him to go to a home that will keep in contact, send pictures & let me visit if possible. As I said, he's the love of my life & giving him up is killing me, but I have to take myself out of it & do what's best for him. Please contact me for more information.
