Meet Trigger Hey, I'm Trigger-and I'm not just another pretty floof. I'm a whole vibe. And I'm ready to find my person. I'm about 3 years old, a black tri Aussie mix, and I've been working hard to be my best self! I've put in the work (and trust me, it has been work), but I'm making real progress-and I'm so ready to bring my big brain, big heart, and engaging personality into a real home. I want to be your 'heart' dog, the one you'll never forget - I'm that special! Let's get real: I'm a dog with depth. I'm whip-smart, independent, and not afraid to tell you what I think. But I'm also sensitive, curious, and absolutely craving a person who gets me. I Love To Learn Every day I learn. I'm practicing and learning how to chill and it's working! I'm learning how to settle, even when things are happening around me. Leash reactivity? Yes, it's still a bit of a challenge, but with the right human helping me by using pattern games, engagement exercises, and smart distance work, I will continue to succeed. Enrichment = My Love Language: If you're into food puzzles, scatter feeding, or sniffy walks-I'm your guy. I need regular mental and physical outlets to be my best self. Long leash hikes are my jam, and I'd like to do those at least weekly. I've even started agility class! It helps build my confidence and teaches me how to focus when life gets distracting. My Ideal Life: I'd thrive in a home where I'm not stuck in a crate all day. I don't do well with confinement or closed doors (I have opinions, remember?). I'd love a solid routine, a secure fenced yard, and a human who respects me as a partner, not a project. No kids or other pets, please-I'm looking for a calm, predictable environment where I can keep learning and growing. The Real Me: I can be intense (I'm very smart) but I'm loyal. Challenging but rewarding. I'm not a couch potato or a people-pleaser-I'm a co-pilot. A clever, driven, sometimes stubborn co-pilot who will keep life interesting and your heart full. I'm neutered, fully vetted, house-trained, and living in Virginia until my forever person finds me.
