About Abe

We adopted our now 7 yr old ~110 Lb Great Dane, Abe, at 6 months old. He's been wonderful and a big part of our family ever since. He's very clingy & loving to the alpha in the house and is fantastic with everyone in the family. He's good with our cat, but sometimes will scare the poor girl when his chase instinct kicks in. That said, our home situation is changing and he's become less trustworthy around strangers and other dogs. Most times he's great, but there have been moments that he's gotten aggressive with people and other dogs. Given that I'm going to be traveling a lot more for work we're no longer comfortable that my wife will be able to handle him if he should have a bad moment while she was walking him or letting him outside to go the bathroom. He needs someone familiar with Danes and able to physically manage a large breed such as him.
