About Petal

Little Petal's story begins in rural Fruitland, where she was found loyally staying beside her canine companion who had tragically been hit by a car. Alone and heartbroken, Petal was rescued - scared, silent, and unsure how to accept kindness. At first, she would freeze and avoid eye contact when touched. But with time, love, and gentle care, Petal is slowly learning to trust. She no longer runs from her foster and now allows herself to be picked up. While she's not quite ready for snuggles yet, her progress shows that with patience and consistency, she'll become a wonderful, loving companion. Petal is around 6 months old, and she has plenty of time to grow into the happy, confident pup she's meant to be. She loves to play and would do best in a home with another playful dog to help guide her and build her confidence. Her experiences with cats and kids are unknown, but due to her gentle and shy nature, we believe she would do just fine with respectful companions. Applicant must be within a 10 hour drive of Boise
