About Brunhilda

Adoption Fee: $250
Saint Bernard mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Brunhilda is a 90 lb. short haired st. bernard who was born in January 2020. She came to my husband and I from a coworker's brother who had 13 st. bernard puppies and Hildy was the runt, and our pick of the litter! We have raised her from then alongside our other dog and cats. She has been through basic puppy training, doggy daycare, and was well socialized and traveled, albeit, she is still a reactive dog. She has been such a silly, loyal, sweet joy to know and live with, but her recent and sudden attacks on her best friend (our other smaller dog), and her known dislike for children (we have a baby on the way), have forced us to make this difficult decision to rehome her. Her ideal home could have cats and other dogs, but other dogs must be larger and more dominant to put her in her place. No children! A fence at least 6 ft tall and sturdy is needed (with room to run)! Hildy would most likely not do well with farm animals. Hildy prefers women over men, but eventually gets accustomed to everyone. She eats a prescription diet (Hill's science diet) due to her double hip dysplasia. That being said, ideally, she prefers shorter walks/hikes and more controlled exercises. Her hips can cause discomfort, but rarely stop her from being your average dog. Hildy is housetrained and microchipped! Hildy loves: Beef bones camping/hikes/nature squeaky toys couch naps being outside sprinklers/hoses Treats of all kinds doggy puzzle games doggy daycare a good hat car rides belly rubs hotel beds Hildy dislikes: horses squirrels the vet a bad hat other reactive dogs crowds children people acting suspicious or unpredictable and wild toys that don't squeak
