Charlie is very charming very cute and can be a huge cuddle bug, but he will be a year in August and we have worked with him and worked with him and we are getting nowhere. He seems a little odd or off at times, I know that he comes from a dog of inbreeded dogs so I'm not sure if that's why. Charlie seems to do what Charlie wants everyday all day over and over I have had plenty of dogs of my own and I have never failed ever in my life and training any of those dogs but we are getting nowhere with Charlie. I've cried many tears This is very heart-wrenching and a hard thing to do but I am pretty sure that Charlie needs to be in a home where it's just a couple he is good with kids but he has been very very possessive over my 8-year-old daughter and at times has snapped at other adults or kids for getting too close to her or has snapped at them has never been anybody for getting too close to him but that has been very rare. Charlie urinates all over everything I have never seen anything like this in my life and he's not incontinent he just deliberately goes around and pees on everything Our furniture are closed are betting everything. I have worked with him in his barking and he barks so bad that it's almost like someone is being attacked and I have used a bark collar, a squirt bottle, have picked him up, have done some missions to let him know that that he's safe I have distracted him with noises or touch to try to get him to stop barking when people come in or knock on the door and he literally acts like we're being under attack. I've had Charlie since he was 8 weeks old he came from my cousin's litter and he has always been around a loving family a really good solid home We live in a beautiful home I am at a complete loss as to why Charlie is the way he is I feel like at times maybe he is as funny as this might sound or is odd is this might sound he might be maybe kind of slowly mentally challenged I'm not sure. He will jump on our tables to get to her counters to literally jump in our trash and he will sit in the trash can to eat trash. We have a kennel that we've used to put him in for timeouts when he has done things that aren't okay and we show him the area and tell him that that is a shame and not okay or tell him no no with some sternness It is a battle with Charlie everyday I have watched videos I have talked to people for advice and it seems like I'm at a point where there's nothing more that I can do, and that he needs to be with somebody who is way more experienced with dogs of this nature. Charlie attached himself to my daughter within about a month of us having him and at first it was kind of weird I just it was very like almost like my daughter was his. I have worked with treats I have worked with walks I have worked with us being outside for hours we were outside a lot a lot a lot and he will go inside and pee or poop in our house all day long everyday. He is not a hyper dog by any means whatsoever He's very calm, but with him being all about to be 10 months old you would think that he has had no training whatsoever. These things about Charlie are almost kind of like this is just who he became and it's very confusing because he gets very anxious and at times seems very scared and then like I said he barks like you wouldn't believe when people come over even if it's people that have been here over and over. I'm very concerned that he might need extra attention or help I am not sure what is wrong with him but I have been around dogs my whole life and I've never seen anything like this with Charlie. I feel like I have failed him but I just don't know what more to do and my husband is wanting the dog gone like as of yesterday. We have consistently worked with Charlie everyday without fail since we've brought him home at 8 weeks and nothing is worked. Bark collar, out being outside for hours with us, walks, treats, squirt bottles, kennel training being calm and assertive nothing has worked It is a battle with Charlie everyday. I need help and I don't know what to do and I don't want to just give them to anyone or just drop them off at a shelter I really need help.
