I am looking for a rescue or someone who can work with Oliver. I love him very much. He has had training, he does listen. He also has fear aggression and he is very reactive. I am his human but for some reason, he has bitten me many times. He will be happy playing but for some reason, will get stiff and start growling. He will also burrow under the covers, but will awake and start aggressively growling. He has done this since a puppy. He was attacked in our yard by 2 dogs when he was about a year old. This may be part of his aggression. I have tried everything financially within my power to get him help. As I stated, he has bitten me many times and I have modified his freedom. He is crate trained. This last time he bit me, he broke the skin and I was in the hospital for 2 days with a bad infection. That was not his fault. He was food guarding and growling and I went to remove him and put him in his cage. I have an autoimmune disease and that probably compromised my immune system. I can't risk getting bit again and end up in the hospital. Oliver needs a rescue or an experienced person who can work with him. He is a good dog and is very loving. He really deserves a chance with someone who has more resources than I do. I can't and won't put him down for behavioral issues when I know with the right person, or rescue that can rehabilitate him, he can have a good life. I have 2 other little dogs he has lived with, but my senior dog who can't defend himself could be at risk.oliver does growl at him but they are never left alone. Can anyone help or recommend anything.
