About Gigi

From no fault of her own, her owners living situation has changed and she needs to find a new home. She's currently located in Olympia, WA and can be met with an approved app. Gigi is current on all meds and shots. Here's a bio: Gigi is a special creature, an interesting mix of Chihuahua and Italian greyhound. When she feels safe, she is warm, snuggly, playful, cheerful, and full of personality. She is a rescue who had some early trauma, so she often greets new people with skepticism. She is very smart, alert and curious... a great watchdog as she barks whenever anyone approaches the house. Like many smaller dogs (12 pounds), she is a little anxious. Anything unfamiliar and unpredictable (like young children) can scare her. But once she feels safe with you, she wants to be with you most of the time. She likes a warm lap, she will get under the covers with you, she will move to the room you are in. But she isn't just a lap dog. She is also very athletic and adventurous. She likes to tug with chew toys and chase after a frisbee. Though she doesn't need a walk every day, she prefers it. She never tires and has climbed mountains with me. She gets along well with some dogs, but dislikes aggressive larger dogs, especially German shepherds. She is not used to cats. She is 8 now and in perfect health (expected lifespan around 18). I am extremely sad to part with her, but cannot meet all of her needs by myself. The adoption fee is $250 which covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, HW testing, chipping, health certificate and transport fees. All our dogs come with a 30 day, money back, trial period to make sure they are the right fit in your environment but if it doesn't work you will have to foster until the dog gets rehomed.
