About Joey

[Read About Natural Seizure Care] This is Joey, our 4-year old beagle who has been good for our family for years. About a year ago, he began to get seizures (they dont happen often; you just have to sit through them with him and wait for them to pass). Since they began, he has started to show aggression toward children (children only at this time) and has bit on a few occasions. With proper seizure medication, the issue could resolve entirely. With two little ones in the house and constant children in and out for visits, we simply cannot keep him at this time. It breaks our heart to have to part under these conditions because he has a heart of gold, he's such a sweet snuggle bug with adults, and great to have on a farm or something along those lines where he would live his best life sniffing out rodents. He will be a great dog for the right household - no children and some land - he's just not the right fit for our family at this time. We have taken him to dog parks where hes been with up to 7 dogs at a time and socializes with them just fine. He is neutered. We've called a long list of rescues but they will either not take him because of history or they are full. I'm more than happy to set up a meet'n'greet. Just contact me here and we will coordinate.
