About Jake

Jake is so smart, sweet, loving, and playful. He's been an amazing dog and everyone loves him. He loves to be pet and scratched and looks up at you adoringly. He likes being a companion and having a job. He has heeler energy and would do so well at a place with land or a backyard. Someone who walks or hikes would also be a great fit. He is very loyal and loves to cuddle. Reason he has found himself into rescue is because he didnt takebtonthr new baby. Jakes owner said he does not like babies. Owner reports he nipped at the baby. He likes to herd the kids around the pool but nips at their feet. He is very food motivated and loves to be out in the sun. He likes car rides, treats, and belly rubs. Jakes previous and onlybowner states, they had him for 8 years and he has been such a great dog. So sweet and so smart. We always say he'd be the one to save us in a fire or an emergency. Also.. He Went through training with a trainer for service dogs for veterans. He knows all of the basic commands and when told to go to 'place' he immediately runs to his designated spot. He comes with called and is housebroken.
