Meet Hickory the Catahoula Leopard Dog Arriving in WI on June 6th! Available to meet at our adoption event: Sunday June 8th - 10 am to 2 pm Address: S83W18370 Saturn Dr Muskego, WI 53150 Hickory is a handsome 2 year old male catahoula mix. He is a handsome boy with a gorgeous gray spotted coat and a friendly personality. He weighs about 62 pounds and is fully grown. Hickory was found by animal control and brought to a shelter in rural Texas at the beginning of May. He waited there on stray hold hoping his family would come for him, but they never did. He was very excited when he learned he was chosen to make the trip to WI rather than having to live in the shelter. Hickory is a playful and and sweet dog who loves toys, loves to give hugs to people and likes to play in the water. He gets along well with other dogs and he loves people of all ages. As with any dog, his new family should expect to do some basic training with him to learn the routine at his new forever home. He is neutered, tested heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. He will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday June 6th, and will be available to meet, and take home if he is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. His adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. He is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption on Friday, June 6th. If upon meeting, he is not a good fit for your family, the deposit is refundable. We ask that you are serious about your intent to adopt before placing a deposit, so as not to prevent him from finding his forever family in the meantime, as we only accept one deposit per dog. If Timmy does not receive an adoption hold prior to his arrival in WI, he will be available to meet at our adoption events or by appointment with his foster family.
