About Red Hit By Car

Hey friends & @followers Red is in desperate need of our help to get him out of the shelter before it's too late!!! Red is a 1 year old male Pit Bull that was picked up by Animal Control Officers on 4/19/25 after reports of a dog possibly struck by a vehicle with an injured leg. Sadly, Red suffered a fractured front right leg from the accident. Shortly after arriving Red's owners did come to the shelter to initiate a redemption, when they were informed of his injuries Red's family departed and never moved forward with picking up their dog :( Red's young age and need for proper cage rest has gotten the best of him and taking it's toll. The shelter has not been able to properly care for Red's fractured leg, now that he is approaching 2 months under care at the shelter unable to maintain proper cage rest so his injuries can heal he is in need of immediate rescue.
